Repeat Prescriptions can be requested in the following ways:-
From 5 November 2018 we will no longer be accepting requests over the telephone. This decision has been taken in the interest of accuracy and patient safety.
Please allow two full working days before the prescription is collected - this is the time it takes to process prescriptions and get it checked signed by your Doctor.
If you would like your prescription posted to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope and allow four working days. If you use one of the chemists collection and delivery services also allow four working days.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR THE PROCESSING OF PRESCRIPTIONS OVER THE FOLLOWING PERIODS - CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR, EASTER AND BANK HOLIDAY MONDAYS.
SUNNYSIDE SURGERY – NEW SERVICE FOR PATIENTS
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
From 1 April 2015, the charges are:
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
